About Eric –
Eric has been in the book trade since 1971, having worked for Richard Abel & Co, a library jobber, Planned Parenthood publications department, Gordon’s Books, a regional wholesaler, the Auraria Book Center, as the manager and buyer for the general books department, and finally as a field sales rep for Penguin USA calling on independent bookstores in six Rocky Mountain states. Since retirement, Eric has done volunteer work with the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association (MPIBA) and the University of Denver Publishing Institute and has given numerous book talks to groups hosted by the Douglas County Public Library System. He currently acts as a media escort for visiting authors, collecting them at the airport and ferrying them to bookstores, libraries, and schools for their scheduled events.
