Navigating the Present and Looking Toward the Future

“Necessity is the Mother of Invention”

Every need or problem encourages our creative efforts. As we continue to hold virtual meetings, a silver lining has emerged, in that we have been able to include members and guests from near and far, many of whom may not have been able to attend our monthly face-to-face meetings. Staying connected and supporting each other in our publishing endeavors remains paramount to CIPA. How we accomplish that continues to unfold in the context of our present situation and in envisioning new possibilities for the future of our organization. I have faith in our collective wisdom and enduring resilience as we navigate these uncharted waters together. It has been my distinct honor and privilege to share this journey with you as your president for the last two years. With deep gratitude CIPA for keeping me current with publishing trends, finding collegial support, and expanding my capacities.

May 16th Virtual Meeting: 9:00 start time!

Please join us for the last official meeting of this year’s publishing season, Indie Publishing “Unmasked”: How Indie Publishers Survive and Thrive in Our New World Reality, with CIPA’s own panelists Mike Daniels, The Publisher’s Coach, Veronica Yager of Yellow Studios, and Peter Trimarco of Notable Kids Publishing. They will share what Indie publishers need to do and know to market and sell their books during and after the impact of Covid-19 . (find out more and register here).
