What Are You Grateful For?

“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness.
It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.”

–Amy Collette, The Gratitude Connection

November Program

We have much to be thankful for as members of CIPA. This month for our final membership meeting of 2018, we are fortunate to share the expertise of Joyce and Dan Miller, co-authors of Copyright Clearance for Creatives, with our membership. In their program Roadmap to Copyright Clearance, learn to navigate the “why, when, where, and how” of copyright as they relate to writers and editors. Please join us for this information-packed session this Saturday, November 17th.

As CIPA matures into young adulthood, I invite you to reflect upon all that this organization has given to you over the years. Of all the members who have come together in the name of independent publishing. The colleagues you have worked with, the relationships you have formed, the friends that you have made. I know that my life and career have been enriched by my association with CIPA.

Later this month members of the CIPA Education and Literacy Foundation (CIPA ELF) will catalogue thousands of books taken as donations from our participation in the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association Fall Discovery Show. Let us know if you are affiliated with any organizations that may be interested in receiving book donations—whether it be a civic group, school, library, shelter, senior center, hospital, literary organization, etc. Learn more at
